Introduction

Hello and welcome to this 'diary' of events in a typical garden in south Wales.

The same principles probably hold true for much of southern England and Ireland too, but I cannot say as I have not lived there.

Similarly, by adding a week or two, the diary can probably be applied to north Wales, northern England and Northern Ireland and Scotland.

I hope you find it useful and if you have a tip or a chore that my friends and I have missed, please send it in and I will include it.

Over the year to-date, I have concentrated on a typical garden, but I will expand the diary to include: herbs and spices, greenhouse duties, fruit trees and shrubs, house plants and even vegetables, if there is enough interest.

I will also introduce a section on gardening tools and garden furniture, when I get the time.

If you have any suggestions or comments, please send them to me at:

owen@gardening-in-wales.the-real-way.com

Enjoy your garden,

Owen.
