Complete Planting of Herbaceous Perennials: as soon as possible.

Mow Lawns: lawns should be mown monthly throughout the winter, but now they should be mown frequently and fed with a proprietary mixture or two parts sulphate of potash, one part of sulphate of ammonia, two parts of dried blood and 20 parts of silver sand applied at the rate of 6ozs / yd˛.

Complete Planting of Herbaceous Perennials:

Pant Gladioli for Succession: 

Plant Evergreen Shrubs: this is the best time to plant  and propagate by layering where required.

Take Cuttings of Winter-flowering Begonias:

Train and Pollinate Melons: restrict each plant to four fruits evenly spaced over the plant. All the flowers on a plant should be pollinated at the same time by hand. Take pollen from the male flowers and spread it on the female ones (with an embryonic fruit under the petals) on a hot, sunny day.
