GARDENING IN WALES |
|
August:- Tasks for Week Four.Prune Hydrangeas: Most hydrangeas will have finished flowering and will benefit from a little pruning. Cut off each faded flower truss as far back as the first plump-looking growth bud and remove any weak stems. Leave unpruned any branches still producing good blooms. Not much else to do apparently, most of the wok involves fruit and vegetables, which I will try to incorporate next year for those, who require the information. My grass still needs cutting regularly and the tiger lilies I planted are now over a foot tall, but still not flowering. Enjoy your garden! Regards, Owen. |
