GARDENING IN WALES |
|
February:- General Tasks.Finish Planting Trees and Shrubs: plant as early in February as conditions permit. Complete Digging and Break Down Soil: it is already getting late for this and it should be completed on the first dry day. Prune Roses: see 'November: general tasks'. Complete Planting of Lilies: still time to (trans)plant outdoor lilies, but they are already growing, so keep soil on the roots while moving. Continue to Take and Pot on Rooted Carnation and Chrysanthemum Cuttings: The rest is mostly work concerning vegetables and greenhouses, both of which I will add more about next year. Enjoy your garden! Regards, Owen. |
