GARDENING IN WALES |
|
October:- Tasks for Week Three.Lift Gladioli and Montbretias: shake of soil and tie them in small bundles by their stems. Must be kept frost free! When the foliage has withered, cut it off and place the corms in a shallow box. Remove small corms to grow separately - they may not flower in year one. Stop Feeding Chrysanthemums: Not much to do outside the greenhouse now. However, if you know of a chore to do now, please let me know and I will include it. There seems to be only one magpie left now - I wonder if the others flew off or died. Anyone care to guess? Enjoy your garden! Regards, Owen.
